On April 18th, 2010 I awoke in the middle of the night with the vision that was a clear as day.  It was the perfect strategy for finding, qualifying and generating sales leads for marketing services.

I would write a book called Marketing in Vancouver.  Through strategic partnerships I would be able to give this book away for free to local businesses and within months I’d have over 50,000 copies of my book circulating around the Vancouver business community – all costing me little or nothing.

As the book became more popular I would become recognized as the local marketing expert, I’d make media appearances and my business would be on the receiving end of more sales leads than I could handle.

It was a simple but innovative lead generation model.

So, I wrote the book.  However, one small thing changed over the next 4 months.  I realized I don’t want to offer marketing services.  I just enjoy writing, teaching and selling people on marketing possibilities. Actually fulfilling and administering services is not anything that I gets me too excited.

The New Plan

After much deliberation I’ve decided to contact the best and the brightest local experts (one-by-one) and see if we can work together on this project.  More specifically, I’m contacting you to see if you would be open to one of two possibilities:

  1. Making me an associate of your firm so I can hand over clients to you or
  2. Acquiring the rights to my book, site and entire business plan for this project and running with it yourself

My personal preference would be option #2.  Should you choose this option you’ll be able to change the content of the book as you see fit and most importantly, include your name as the author.  If you’re not already an author, you will soon discover that becoming one changes everything.  Your book will fortify your status as the expert in your field, more prospective clients will begin contacting you for proposals and it will make the entire selling process a whole lot easier.

Finally, I can show you how to get your new book listed and sold on Amazon.com.  You won’t do this to sell a lot of books but rather to direct prospective clients to Amazon.com to verify your author status.  If you’re able to sell some copies of the book, even better.
